The United Taxi Workers of San Diego (UTWSD) is calling on all taxicab permit holders and lease drivers to step up and shape the future of the for-hire vehicle industry in San Diego. How? By participating in the 2025 Taxicab Advisory Committee (TAC) election.

This isnโ€™t just another bureaucratic processโ€”itโ€™s your chance to speak up, be represented, and help lead our community into a stronger, more equitable future for all drivers.

The Taxicab Advisory Committee (TAC) is made up of elected representatives who advise the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) on all things related to taxicab operations.

These seats are specifically reserved for permit holders and lease drivers, and each elected member serves a three-year term. With the current term ending in June 2025, itโ€™s time to elect a new round of committed voices ready to represent the real needs of our community.
